Olga Katkova, violin
Originally from Bulgaria, Olga Katkova settled in Chicago after completing her music education. In this exciting artistic city she served as the Concertmaster of the Millennium Chamber Players and as a member of the Chicago Civic Orchestra, the training orchestra for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, where she worked with principal players of the CSO and with some of world’s foremost conductors such as Charles Dutoit, Alan Gilbert, and Robert Spano. She has also performed at a number of other orchestras such as Illinois Symphony, Sinfonia di Concertante, Da Cornetto Opera, Rockford Symphony, Green Bay Symphony, Chicago Chamber Orchestra, South Bend Symphony, San Bernandino Symphony, Ash Lawn Opera, and the Ohio Light Opera. Most recently, Olga Katkova toured South America with her string quartet and then moved for a short residency in Germany, where she studied Jazz and Baroque violin. Olga also enjoys working as a studio musician for jazz music and movie projects. She has shared a stage with music icons such as Kurt Elling, Marco Antonio Solís, Smokey Robinson, and Bobby McFerrin.
Sheri Pearlman, clarinet
Sheri Pearlman is a Jewish-American clarinetist now based out of Los Angeles, California. Sheri received her musical education from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in her native city of Baltimore, Maryland, where she studied under Metropolitan Opera's Principal clarinetist, Anthony McGill. She received a talent scholarship from this renowned institution, as well as numerous awards. One distinction of note includes the Peabody Institute's Award for Excellence in Chamber Music as well as an additional scholarship to concertize and perform chamber music throughout Switzerland. Additionally, Sheri has won numerous prizes in notable solo competitions such as the International Clarinet Competition, the Midwest Young Artist's Concerto Competition, and the Hackman Young Musician's Competition. Sheri has also performed with a number of orchestras including the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the New Albany Symphony, the Chautauqua Symphony, the Symphonic Voyages Symphony Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra. Career highlights include performing the Mozart and Brahms Clarinet Quintets at the inauguration of Supreme Court Justice, Sonia Sotomayor in Washington, DC and touring throughout Europe, the Middle East, and the Caribbean Islands as an appointed soloist, orchestral player, and chamber musician.
Anthony Zediker, piano
Anthony Zediker, a native of Nashville, received a BA in piano performance from DePaul University (2013) in Chicago. Studying with celebrated artists such as Aglika Angelova from the Jupiter Trio, Jelena Dirks from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Ron Perillo, a resident pianist in all of Chicago's finest jazz clubs, and hailed Georgian concert pianist George Vatchnadze, Zediker evolved into a versatile and exciting performer keenly interested in experimental music. Selected project highlights include: pianist for Schoenberg’s melodrama Pierrot Lunaire, pianist for an all-Georg Friederich Haas concert at DePaul performing Le Profondeur in complete darkness, pianist for a centennial celebration of Stravinsky performing Deux Poems and Three Japanese Lyrics, keyboardist for the Ruth Page Center’s production of Fame: the Musical, and pianist for the world premiere of Seven Wallace’s new opera inspired by the 1987 film The Princess Bride. Last spring, he emerged as a collaborator and live conceptual art subject with photographer and professor Jason Lazarus where he practiced publicly in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago for twelve weeks. Zediker now resides in Los Angeles where he bids his time as a performer, composer/arranger, choral director, and piano instructor.
